Dress Code
Ladies: We realize that all bodies are not the same, and they come in all shapes and sizes, so we will take that into consideration when approving dresses.
If you are unsure if a dress is appropriate, you may send a picture of the attendee in the dress to the Program Coordinator, Rachel Kennedy at [email protected] to make sure dress attire is okay to wear. A note about dresses: For your benefit, please make sure that your dress stays “secure” when you jump up and down, wiggle, or do any other dance move. We don’t want to see you struggle to keep your dress “in place” while you are trying to dance. You will have a much more enjoyable evening if you are not fighting your dress all night!
Dresses can go no higher than 3 inches above the knee.
Slits in the side or front of the dress may not come higher than 3 inches above the knee.
Dresses need to be modestly cut in the front.
The back of the dress must NOT go below a line drawn from your belly button around to the back, however, lacing on the back of the dress is permitted provided it does not go below the belly line.
No undergarments may show.
Shoes are required to enter and exit the venue. Please be aware that many girls choose to wear comfortable Vans or other shoes rather than heels and that is okay.
Remember that this is a formal event.
No 2-piece dresses will be allowed if they do not cover the abdomen.
Gentleman: Please ensure that your clothing selections meet the rules listed below. If you are unsure if your attire meets the rules, you may send a picture of the attendee in the attire to the Program Coordinator, Rachel Kennedy at [email protected] or Keith Hayes at [email protected].
A tuxedo or dress suit is preferred. Neck ties or bow ties required.
Shoes are required to enter and exit the venue.
No jeans or t-shirts are allowed.
This event is hosted by the Friends of the CSS Neuse Museum. If you have any questions, please email Keith at [email protected] or Rachel at [email protected].
