About this Event
A winter foam-fighting event in Florida. No snow. No worries.
The Swamplands present Frostbane, a Belegarth Event.
Come for battle games, night fighting, tournaments, arts and sciences, classes, and fun!
THE MISSION
This event is run by the collective Florida Realms of The Swamplands, our common goal is to give Florida the opportunity to enjoy foam fighting sports. We have worked hard to find affordable, centrally located campsites that we use for both fighting and feasting. We ask you to fight and have fun while respecting the event staff, the campsite, and the local laws. Thank you for helping grow Belegarth in Florida! See you at Frostbane!
NON-BELEGARTH HOUSE RULES:
HEALING: Healing is allowed - The minimum length of a poem of healing is 180 syllables and must be approved by Heralds/atWeapons Check.
ARMOR: Sharkmaile is allowed.
POLEARMS: FRIDAY ONLY - Nothing over ~6ft swing will be allowed on the field. (Similar to previous testing that Albion has done at ORC Wars, Scenarios will only allow for ~6ft Swing and under).
BANDSHOP: Weapons using 1" Hollow Fiberglass cores, also known as Bandshoppe, will not be allowed to be used for swing. Stabbing with these weapons will be allowed.
JAVELINS: The head is NOT a legal target area for Javelins.
GENERAL SITE RULES:
1. Pets are NOT allowed at Camp Kiwanis. Service Animals are permitted, please contact Ryan Fox, prior to the event.
2. No smoking in any buildings, including the dining pavilion. All cigarette butts must be extinguished and deposited in proper containers.
3. Parking is limited to outer parking lots. Vehicles may temporarily unload or load behind the dining pavilion and kitchen. Vehicles with a disabled decal are exempt and may park closer to buildings.
4. All plants and wildlife found at Camp Kiwanis are protected and shall not be harmed or collected.
5. Firewood shall not be collected at Camp Kiwanis.
6. Ground fires are strictly limited to the fire ring near the lakefront. Note that burn bans by the U.S. Forest Service during very dry seasons may prevent the use of the fire ring.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER
Finally, we must obey all state and federal laws. There is no underage drinking allowed. No illegal substances are allowed. Keep the fighting only to foam weapons and only on the field. If anyone gets out of hand we will call the police.
Remember, this event is run 100% by volunteers. Please help us help you. We ask that you clean up your trash, both on the field and at your camp. This makes our work much easier!
