About this Event
Join us at the Frost Art Museum at FIU for MOVE – Communal Improvisation Workshop, Part I, presented as part of Frost After Dark. This two-part live workshop combines guided movement and live music in a relaxed, communal setting. Open to all experience levels, participants are invited to move, listen, and explore at their own pace—no prior movement experience required!
Led by composer and guitarist Diego Melgar, MOVE blends music, movement, and intuitive exploration. This first session invites participants to discover new forms of personal expression through interdisciplinary practice.
The workshop continues in Part II on Wednesday, March 11, from 5–8 p.m. Featuring guest artist Smita Sen, who works with movement, sculpture, and technology to explore how the body stores memory, emotion, and experience over a lifetime.
Funding for this initiative is provided by Art Bridges Access for All program.
