Looking for something different and exciting to do with your children on Juneteenth!! Join From Women to Queens from 2-6pm for our very first STEAM expo!! All ages are welcome to come out and enjoy the wonderful world of STEAM. The purpose of this event is to engage the youth in STEAM related activities and to provide the parents with resouces just in case they have a child that is interested in STEAM. Majority of the local schools in the city of Detroit do not offer STEAM programs as part of a cirriculum. I want our youth to have the same advantage of being introduce to these skills in order to prepare them for the future.We would also encourage any farmers who have community gardens to come out and teach the youth the importance of knowing how to grow your own food. I am looking for businesses, camps,schools, teachers, and nonprofits to join us.We will provide all tables and chairs needed. You only have to bring your table cloth and any informational material you may have about your business. Also be prepared to demonstrate or engage with a STEAM related activity with the youth. We have a parking lot that is available for parking. The location will be at Durfee Innovation Society 2470 Collingwood Detroit MI 48206. We are expecting between 50-100 children.If interested please contact me immediately.
