During "From the Garden to the Classroom," you will discover innovative ways to integrate gardening into their curriculum, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. This workshop focuses on the educational benefits of hands-on gardening experiences, including lesson demonstrations. You will explore best practices for creating and maintaining a school, homeschool coops, 4-H, or any other youth organization garden, develop interdisciplinary lesson plans, and learn strategies to foster student teamwork and critical thinking. Join us to cultivate not only plants but also a deeper connection to nature and holistic education in your classroom!
Youth Program during in-service (ages 5 - 13) $10:
This mini-camp is all about bringing sustainable gardening into the learning space. We are having hands-on gardening activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Youth will explore water conservation practices and gardening. They will connect with nature and grow both plants and knowledge together! The camp is to provide an opportunity for the parents to bring their youth while they attend their training.
