About this Event
This program encourages lawyers in underrepresented groups to consider judicial careers and seeks to make the process of appointment and election to the bench more transparent and accessible. The focus of the program will be to inform practicing lawyers about the importance of judging, the skills an steps needed to become a judge, and life as a judge. Program components address the “how” and “why” of becoming a judge as well significant issues such as the ethical questions faced by judges, minority perspectives, and the judicial selection process.
The format will be luncheon and panel discussions with judges federal, state and administrative law judges. A networking cocktail hour will follow the program.
CLE credits will be offered.
Event is free and open to all members of the bar.
Presented by the Clifford Scott Green Chapter of the Judicial Council in collaboration with the Phladelphia LGBTQ Bar Association, HBAPA, APABA-PA, WLD and the Barristers.
