From Stuffies to Spirit Guides

Top Hat Supply for Journeys is excited to offer "From Stuffies to Spirit Guides"…where we will meet the spirit of our beloved stuffy as our spirit guide, bringing them to life through creative writing and visual art making. This class was created to encourage kids to develop a new relationship with their stuffies and continue to find that comfort and emotional support and guidance as they leave childhood.

Together with our stuffies, we will meet our spirit guides by traveling with our imaginations. With the aid of percussion, we will learn how to drop in deeper into our imaginations and meet our stuffy's true essence in the spirit world.

Part 1: Introduce our stuffies to our new group of friends

Part 2: Learn a bit about spirit guides and how they can be depicted in wearable and decorative masks across cultures

Part 3: Journey in a guided imagination session using percussion to meet our stuffy's as spirit guides

Part 4: Art making! Capture the essence of our stuffy's spirit in a colorful mask to hang as art at home and to remind our children their spirit guides are always with them.

All materials are included. In order to make this event accessible, we do appreciate those who can donate more for materials.

Please pack a snack and water bottle for your child. While we will break up our art making time with some movement, we do ask your child can be respectful being in an art studio space. We appreciate prompt drop off and pickup so that we can focus on preparation and clean up.
