In this workshop we will dive deep into what stress is from the perspective of your nervous system and how to shift out of states of stress by working with your body and your senses. You'll learn to identify various physiological stress responses and how they impact your physical health emotional life and mental wellbeing. You'll also learn simple but powerful practices to shift state from stress to ease and anchor yourself in a somatic sense of safety long-term. The nervous system is the overlooked piece connecting mind and body---learning how it works brings greater self-awareness and empathy for others as well as giving you the power to choose how you respond to triggers and stressors in life. Join to explore what it means to be regulated and attuned and how to access more coherence in your life.
Please bring a journal and any props you need to be comfortable. The workshop will be interactive and reflective with short practices interspersed throughout and plenty of time for discussion and Q&A.
