Operatic and concert baritone Ilya Silchukou appears with opera companies and in concert halls across Europe and beyond. On Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 8:00 p.m., he will make a rare U.S. recital appearance at First Church Boston, 66 Marlborough Street. Belarusian singer ๐๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ค๐จ๐ฎ is an internationally sought-after lyric baritone. He has appeared in operas at the Teatro Alla Scala, Thรฉรขtre Capitรดle de Toulouse, the Belarus State Opera, the Brigitta Opera Festival in Tallinn, Israeli Opera, Tel Aviv, Teatr Wielki, Warsaw, Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Opera La Monnaie (Bruxelles), Lithuanian National Opera, and Opรฉra National de Montpellier, among many others. In concerts, he has been featured at the Moscow Opera Bolshoi, the Musikerlebnis Openair Fest in Mรผnchen, and the Birgitta Festival in Tallinn, to name a few.
๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ง is the 1st Prize winner of the CPA Dublin International Piano Competition. He also won prizes in the Beethoven Competition in Vienna, the Paloma OโShea Competition in Santander and the Tokyo Competition. He has recorded numerous discs and is known for his collaboration with other renowned artists and chamber music groups. For more than 25 years he was assisting his teacher S. Dorensky at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He has given masterclasses in the USA, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Estonia, Russia and has served as a jury member in many international piano competitions. He is currently Associate Professor of Piano at Boston University.
