WHAT TO EXPECT:
Kid + Family Volunteers will work together to create bags + boxes of dry food goods for people and families in need.
Every week, large bags + boxes of food are dropped off at Tucson Food Share. Volunteers (like you) work to break them down into smaller portions for equitable distribution to those who need it most.
This Family Volunteer project aligns with National Volunteer Week, a time to celebrate the impact of volunteers and inspire acts of service!
National Volunteer Week reminds us that giving our time and energy—no matter how big or small—helps build a stronger, more connected community. By coming together to serve others, we not only make a difference but also inspire those around us to do the same. Join us in spreading kindness + gratitude through volunteerism!
WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT:
This hands-on volunteer work will benefit Tucson Food Share.
Tucson Food Share provides food + resources to people experiencing homelessness or food insecurity by providing meals, community pantries + grocery deliveries to those in need in our local area.
KIND NOTES:
- This is an indoor and in-person volunteer project.
- Please wear comfortable shoes for standing and a water bottle. There is no A/C in this facility; only swamp cooling.
- All supplies will be provided.
- Stay tuned for additional details to help you prepare for the day!
- For larger groups (5+), please contact us in advance to make special arrangements, as each project has a set capacity.
