About this Event
This is a two-day workshop teaching doctoral students, postdocs, and faculty studying social behavior how to turn their research into a product or service that solves a social problem. By the end of the workshop, you will have defined and designed a solution and have come up with a plan for getting it into the hands of people who need it.
You do not have to have a solution in mind to participate. The point of the workshop is to help you find and develop solutions in your existing research. But, if you already have an idea, that's okay too. This workshop will help you hone the idea by defining who needs it, how to reach them, and how to fund the work of getting it to them.
The product or service you create can be anything - a class, a podcast, a new technology, or consulting. There are many ways to solve a problem. Our focus is helping you design a solution that fits peoples' needs, remains true to the science, and that can attract the resources needed to be sustained.
This event is open to all researchers in the Boston area.
