About this Event

After completing her Masters degree in Engineering Science at The University of Oxford, Jessica Leitch successfully combined her academic knowledge with her love of running, and stayed at Oxford to study for a D.Phil. in running injuries and biomechanics. Whilst coming to the end of her research, Jessica began to question why the incredible technology she was using in her research was not accessible to those who would benefit from it the most: real people with running-related injuries. Immediately after completing her D.Phil., Jessica founded Run3D in order to make that happen.

This talk will share the highs and lows of making Jessica's vision a reality, from the challenges of raising capital to the pride of seeing her platform being used around the world to help people run without pain.

Outside of work, Jessica has two young children and continues to run competitively - and holds the world-record for running a marathon whilst pushing her children in a buggy! In 2018, Jessica was honoured to be awarded InnovateUK’s Women in Business Innovation Award.

This in-person event is free and open to all. Refreshments will be served from 17:00. The seminar will begin at 17:30, followed by a drinks reception at 18:30.

If you are unable to attend after booking to attend in person, please email [email protected].
