There are still 3 spots available for this 3 part workshop by Massy Arts Society and our roots to yours! This series is a collaborative call-and-response art project with the intention for qtbipoc artists to come together, collaborate in their chosen art medium, and learn from and connect with each other. this project will centre themes on relationships to land, landback futures, land-based practices, and related topics. Chosen applicants will receive a $100 honorarium

This project is for you if you:
are a qtbipoc (queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, and/or person of colour) artist,
love being in community and building community with one another
crave space to dream, connect, challenge, (re)imagine, and collaborate on shared futures
are interested in discussions and reflections on our relationships to land, landback futures, land-based practices, and more
are available to commit to 1 art piece in the span of 5 weeks and can commit to participating in 3, 3-hour workshops from may to july 2024

this project is led by phebe ferrer (she/her) and jessamine liu (she/her), 2 qtbipoc cuties who are uninvited settlers, poets, artists, diasporic kiddos, palabok-loving filipinos, sagittarius risings, and human beans with soft vibes~

The event will be hosted at the Massy Arts Gallery, at 23 East Pender Street in Chinatown, Vancouver. We are located in the former MING WO building
The gallery is wheelchair accessible and a gender-neutral washroom is on-site.
