Dr. Tonya Davis is a scholar-practitioner with expertise in clinical practice, consulting, and research. She is the owner of Alliance Counseling & Consulting Services, where she has provided psychological counseling, testing, and crisis intervention services for over 20 years. She has also led training workshops and seminars for organizations such as the Missile Defense Agency and the United States Secret Service.
An Associate Professor of Psychology & Counseling at Alabama A&M University, Dr. Davis specializes in psychological assessment, minority mental health, and technology-driven mental health interventions. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, serves on multiple editorial boards, and co-authors a national blog for Psychology Today. As President of the Alabama Counseling Association (Region II) and a researcher with over $2 million in grant funding, she is committed to advancing mental health initiatives. She is the proud mother of 2 adult sons and enjoys watching crime movies in her spare time and volunteering in her community.
