He is perhaps the most influential Hullian to ever leave his mark on North America, and without his famous 'Globe' bar and hotel, Vancouver may never have existed.
However, the story of this remarkable man is now in jeopardy. In 2022, protestors in Vancouver tore his statue down, leaving his legacy at risk of being lost forever.
