A film screening and Q&A with the film's producer.Join us for a screening of From Ground Zero , a collection of 22 short films created by talented filmmakers from Gaza. The initiative was born against the backdrop of conflict and aims to provide a platform for young artists to express themselves through their craft. Each film, ranging in length from 3 to 6 minutes, presents a unique perspective on the current reality in Gaza. Following the screening will be a live (via video link) audience Q & A with special guest Rashid Masharawi , a renowned Palestininan filmaker and the producer of From Ground Zero . Included at the event will be booths for Amnesty International:Okanagan and CJPME:Okanagan . Palestinian olive oil and Za'atar will be for sale; along with chocolate from Peace by Chocolate.
All the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the UNRWA:Gaza Emergency Appeal .
