What happens when you move from looking at art to creating your own?In this class, you’ll explore the connection between seeing art and making your own. Each session starts with a guided visit to VisArts’ galleries, where you’ll observe and discuss selected works across different styles and artists. Then you’ll head to the studio to create your own original pieces inspired by what you’ve just seen.
Through sketching, painting, mixed media, and other creative techniques, you’ll practice translating your emotional, visual, and conceptual responses into personal artistic expression. Along the way, you’ll sharpen your observational skills, interpret artistic themes, and experiment with materials.
Open to all levels, this course encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper appreciation of contemporary art.
This class is for ages 14 and up.

Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed one week prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund.
