About this Event
As startups grow, the skills that make a great founder don’t always translate into effective company leadership. In this 90-minute, in-person workshop, Brad Treat will guide founders through the critical founder-to-CEO transition, with a focus on clear communication, team leadership, and professional presence.
Drawing from his experience teaching entrepreneurship at Cornell and leading the Southern Tier Startup Alliance—supporting more than 200 companies—Brad will address common challenges seen in early-stage startups, including managing team dynamics, stepping out of day-to-day technical work, and navigating networking and investor interactions with confidence and professionalism. Founders will leave with practical frameworks, real-world examples, and specific, actionable steps they can apply immediately to strengthen internal communication, external relationships, and their leadership effectiveness as their companies scale.
