In this 10-hour workshop, you will learn to shed fear and invite compassion and love to your backbend practice.This is an opportunity to dip into your vulnerability while finding strength and flexibility in your backbend practice. Under Janet's guidance, you will learn to overcome your perceived limitation and unlock your greater potential.
At the end of the course, students will gain more confidence and passion in their ability to safely attempt new and advanced backbends.
[ Session 1: Smooth out your bend and supple shoulders ]
- Learn to use props to open up the bits of your upper- and mid-back.
- You will also use drills and exercises to create greater mobility
- We will explore some advanced backbend poses towards the end of the session.
[ Session 2: Unlock the hips and find space through strength ]
- We will work on opening the lower front part of the body: psoas, hip flexors, quad, and more.
- Effective back-strengthening drills to tone the entire back and core.
- We will explore advanced backbend poses towards the end of the session.
