About this Event
Join us for a free networking event to hear how businesses in Scotland can support survivors of Modern Slavery into safe employment.
At Bright Future Co-operative, our mission is simple: to see survivors of modern slavery living in freedom with dignity.
In 2023, over 17,000 survivors of Modern Slavery were identified across the UK. Among them, hundreds are now rebuilding their lives in Scotland, striving for safety, stability, and the freedom to control their future.
Finding stable, safe work can be a challenge for modern slavery survivors, many of whom have never known anything but exploitation. For over seven years, Bright Future Co-operative has been empowering survivors to enter safe employment and regain control over their lives. In 2023, we launched the UK's first dedicated jobs website for modern slavery survivors, expanding opportunities for those rebuilding their lives. Now, we’re bringing this mission to Scotland to ensure every survivor in the UK has access to meaningful work.
Delivered by Causeway, this social value initiative has already supported nearly 100 survivors into employment across England and Wales with some of the UK's most reputable businesses, including Currys, Morrisons, The Co-op Group and Speedy Hire.
This event, in collaboration with SOHTIS and Ashurst, offers an exciting opportunity to:
- Learn how Bright Future Co-operative partners with businesses and expert charities to maximize success in supporting survivors.
- Discover how your company can enhance its sustainability strategy.
- Hear from a panel of local experts and individuals with lived experience, sharing powerful insights into how safe, stable employment transforms lives.
This event is aimed at businesses operating in Scotland who are interested to hear more about our work. It is also open to individuals and organisations who wish to be a part of our mission to create safer, sustainable futures for survivors of modern slavery.
Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity! Confirm your attendance by Wednesday, 12th February 2025, to secure your place.
