Join us on Friday, 1st November 2024, from 12 to 2 pm at Cranleigh Village Hall for a special Chamber Networking Event featuring our newly elected MP and Shadow Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt. This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Jeremy as he presents his plans for Cranleigh and the surrounding areas of Godalming and Ash.
During the event, Jeremy will discuss his approach to addressing key local issues such as the Surrey Hills AONB expansion, the Bramley fuel leak, roadworks, housing targets, planning, and the new Royal Surrey Cancer Centre.
He will also address the challenges faced by local businesses, including poor mobile phone signal, public transport deficiencies, and the lack of office and warehouse space following the loss of Hewitts Industrial Estate.
Jeremy will talk about his efforts to improve mobile phone signal in Cranleigh, drawing from his experience in solving this issue in his home village of Hambledon. Additionally, the discussion will cover his potential influence on planning issues and public transport improvements, including the possibility of upgrading the Downs Link to facilitate better cycling and commuting options.
This event is a great chance for local businesses to engage directly with Jeremy, share concerns about ongoing issues such as Brexit, banking services, and regulatory challenges, and ask questions about his plans.
Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance via email to [email protected], making sure to include their address due to parliamentary protocols.
A sandwich lunch and refreshments from Celebration Cakes will be provided. The event is priced at £12.50 for Chamber members and £15 for non-members.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow business owners and have your voice heard by our new MP.
