About this Event
Based in Chicago, John McCombs has been performing stand up comedy in the US for 14 years. He's cut his teeth travelling up and down the East Coast, from North Carolina to New York, and has visited just about every US comedy club imaginable, opening for acts like Michelle Wolf and Tim Meadows. 🇺🇸
After several headlining tours of over 12 European countries and filming his first comedy special in Estonia ("Make a Way to Estonia"), John is now returning to Germany!
Being both a veteran comedian and an actual veteran, John draws inspiration from his military experience, from personal stories of living in a town whose whole economy was based on toxic masculinity, and from realizing that he’s in a toxic relationship with the United States themselves.
If there is one thing that John has learned in his travels, it’s that laughter is the universal language (although for many Germans it's more of an approving nod). Now he invites audiences all around to laugh with him, at him, and at society as whole. Catch his brand new show that one audience member described as “reading an encyclopedia if it was written by that ‘Tiger King’ guy.
Join John for a night of hilarity on Tuesday, October 8th, 7.30 PM in Mainz! He's joined by Mars Münster (🇩🇪) & Mathis Ali Gonzalez (🇺🇸).
