Anatoliama is honored to welcome master lyra player Sokratis Sinopoulos from Greece for our upcoming concert “From Chant to Amanes, Echoes of the Byzantine and Asia Minor Traditions” at the Maliotis Cultural Center.Featuring the New England Greek Orchestra directed by Vasillis Kostas and George Lernis, Holy Cross St. Romanos the Melodist Byzantine Choir directed by Fr. Romanos Karanos, master Lyra visiting artist Sokratis Sinopoulos and world renowned vocalist Aimilia Chalkia.
The upcoming concert initiative is sponsored by the Boston Byzantine Music Festival, a program of The Mary Jaharis Center for Byzantine Art and Culture, the Maliotis Cultural Center of Hellenic College Holy Cross, the Behrakis Foundation, and the New York Life Center for the Study of Hellenism in Pontus and Asia Minor (Hellenic College).
