An OPDC sponsored free walk from the canal around the site of the old Guinness Brewery, uncovering the past and seeing what is here nowJoin us on another free Talking and Exploring adventure in Park Royal made possible again through OPDC funding.
We meet at the Abbey Point Cafe, then walk along the canal a short way to find its oldest building and see where the Radio Times used to be printed. Then we take the long route round the former Guinness site calling in on the way at an impressive prop shop and our old friends at Archies on a new site, talking all the time about what used to be here. We will then enter what is now Lakeside and see the new developments here and the lake and the greenery within.
Of course, we have another cafe in mind for the end of the walk where, if you wish, you can linger with us, chill and chat. Usually on these walks we have a mix of people, some of whom might know the area well, others who may be new to it and we encourage all to share their observations and ask their questions. It's not your normal guided walk as those who have been on our walks will tell you.
Attending our events means you can keep in touch with us and other attendees. We run a Facebook group page where we can share pictures, memories and stories from and related to our walks.
