Adelaide Fringe has "Gluttony". Sydney Fringe has "Caribe Carnival". Now, Newy Fringe has "Fringe Feast" - a FREE community block party to officially launch the Newcastle Fringe season.
Hamilton has become the Newcastle Fringe ‘epicentre of extraordinary’ thanks to the ongoing support of council and Hello Hamilton, as well as the many venues located there. Fringe Feast – ‘unleash your appetite’ will celebrate the uniqueness of Hamilton as the home to both Newcastle's creative community, the growing foodie scene and everything that Newcastle Fringe has to offer.
Beaumont St will be closed to traffic between Lindsay and Cleary St to create a giant community banquet where patrons can feast on delicious local dining options and taste tantalising Fringe performances from the 2025 program, ranging from cabaret to opera, circus to music and featuring artists including: The Pretty Amazing Jono, The Alchemy of Arts, Samba Frog, Les Divine Folles à Newy, Eliane Morel: Love, Drinking and Fairy Tales and Ruffians. It promises to be a unique night out for foodies, fringe fans and families with young kids and will launch Newcastle Fringe in the most delicious way possible.
