Finnish folk band Frigg combines nordic folk traditions with Americana influences creating a fresh world music sound often called "nordgrass."Don't miss their return to the beautiful Sacred Heart altar stage at 7:30 pm Friday, Feb. 28.
Formed more than 20 years ago, the group has released 10 full-length albums and has been touring behind its 2023 release Perintö-Heritage. Frigg has toured around the world including appearances at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Celtic Connections and Cambridge Folk Festival. It has also performed on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.
Advance E-Tickets will be available beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3 for $20 (plus $3.18 handling fee) on Eventbrite. Advance paper tickets will be available at Globe News in Superior (cash only) and Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth (plus $1 handling fee). Tickets will be available at the door for $25 while they last. Doors at 6:30. Music at 7:30.
