SAVE THE DATE!🦃 FriendsGiving Feast – Project Launch &Volunteer Callout
Hey fam—got a new project idea brewing and I’m looking for two leaders to step up:
1. Someone with a smoker (or grill set up) to help cook a batch of turkeys
2. A community coordinator to organize the potluck side of the event
Here’s the vision:
We’ll host a FriendsGiving potluck-style Thanksgiving feast + fundraiser for Adopt-a-Family.
It’s about feeding people, building connection, and raising money for our Adopt-a-Family campaign throughout the holidays.
🎯 What We’re Raising Money For:
We’ve been extremely intentional about when and why we raise funds—and this one’s clear:
All donations will go directly to support families adopted by our volunteer team this season.
• Could be $50 per family
• Could be $5000
• Depends on how big we show up
Every dollar will go to food, gifts, and needs for the holidays.
And every Adopt-a-Family leader will get an equal share to support the families they’re helping.
🛠What We Need:
• Location (somewhere with space, tables, parking)
• Turkeys donated (I’ll source these from HEB 😉 if I must)
• Potluck coordination (signup list for sides, drinks, desserts)
• Tables + chairs
• Ideas for values-aligned fundraising
• No pressure tactics
• Must be clear, community-based, and convenient
• Could be donation jars, QR codes, raffle, merch, etc.
Let’s make this something beautiful—both a celebration and a source of real impact.
