Join us for the second annual Friendsgiving, where we’ll celebrate the community we build and support together with a unique storytelling experience through food from Chef Damien Cavicchi of Hal and Mal's!We all have friends who have become as close as family. Many of us, even before making a family of our own, may remember a time when Thanksgiving meant gathering with these friends and creating a new tradition. Whether it be a stand-alone event or even after family dinner, many have coined this celebration “Friendsgiving” – a shorthand for recognizing that whether by chosen or by blood, at Friendsgiving – everyone is family.
Yet, sometimes, life has a way of getting in the way. Work, other commitments, childcare – they can make Friendsgiving hard to pull off. That is why the Community Foundation for Mississippi is inviting you to join us this year as we build a table big enough for everyone to come together. We will break bread together, share our stories, and even meet some new friends along the way. The table is set and we’ve taken care of everything, including childcare (ages 1-11), available by Family Social Club.
Join us to celebrate the places and people we love most. Let’s gather at the communal table and give thanks together for everything we have to celebrate. Now, all you have to do is bring your people—family, friends, and more!
