Welcome 2026! The first Book Club meeting of the new year will be Wednesday, January 28, at 6:30 pm. The book we will be discussing is Track of the Cat by Nevada Barr (available from the public library). This gripping mystery is set in the Western desert and in the rugged Guadalupe Mountains. If time allows, we may also discuss Becoming Odyssa, the book we had chosen prior to the government shut down. KINDLY REGISTER on the Friends website, if you would like to attend this discussion.A handout will be provided at the January meeting with the list of meeting dates for the year. Ideally, we will select at least some of the books we would like to read in 2026. Please come with any ideas you have for filling out our list. Attached, for your consideration, is a suggested reading list provided by one of our FOPH Board members.
