About this Event
Friends of Duncan Park's Trail Committee - Volunteer Trail Work Day
Come join us for a fun day of volunteering at Duncan Park! We need your help to maintain the natural surface trails in the park. No experience is necessary; just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty. Trail work can be a great workout and a rewarding way to give back to the community. Don't forget to wear comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes. Join us for a day of making a difference in Duncan Park!
Our plan is to help improve trail visibility, clean-up plant re-growth and move/shape some dirt features on the green perimeter and powerline trails. All interested participants are invited to show up with their favorite tools (for example - clippers, loppers, blowers, old push mowers, hard rakes, pulaskis, Mcleods, flat & spade shovels) for their preferred efforts. We will have some select extra tools for those who do not have any.
The event is from 8:30am until 10:30am and while you're encouraged to bring your own fluids, we will have some snacks and drinks to help fuel the effort! Park in the baseball stadium parking lot and we'll meet right next to the parking lot where the powerline cut traverses through the park.
