Fridge Art Fair NYC, in partnership with the 33 Seaport Hotel is pleased to announce Swans of the Seaport: Fridge 10th Edition, Celebrating a Decade of Fridge. Taking place during New York City Frieze Week, Fridge will showcase a mix of contemporary artists and exhibitors in a fun, whimsical, friendly, and celebratory environment.
This year’s New York edition is unlike any other, complete with the grandest of grand Big Birthday Party! A magnificent Birthday Parade on opening night, complete with party games from pin the tail on the Fridge to bobbing for apples, constant birthday surprises and prizes, and fun throughout the fair celebrating the best of a Decade of Fridge. We are Bringing in the Swans as an added bonus for our Big Birthday Bash in the elegant and historic Seaport.
The fair will showcase a variety of contemporary art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and video installations. Fridge will be curated and directed by Chris Cobb, David Craig Ellis, Jean & Iggy Font of CollaboARTive, and founder Eric Ginsburg, with special projects by Kaitlin Martin, and Phoenix Roberts. Music program will be directed by Lise “Sonny” Laurent. Fridge will offer something for everyone.
Fridge Art Fair is thrilled to bring art back to the Seaport. The 33 Seaport Hotel, New York is an intimate escape nestled amidst the cobbled streets of Downtown Manhattan’s historic South Street Seaport. Additionally, the 33 Seaport Hotel will host the exclusive Fridge Art Fair Bars "Straight from the Fridge” & “Swan Birthday Lounge," where art and libations intertwine.
Attendees can enjoy art-inspired cocktails, appetizers, and birthday sweet treats while soaking in the creative atmosphere.
Since its inception in May 2013, Fridge Art Fair has presented concurrent with Frieze (yes, the name is a play on that week in New York City!) and Art Basel in Miami. We have lived up to our tagline, "Can you fit into the Fridge?" by accepting numerous and diverse exhibitors in spaces from tiny to huge that were either affordable or donated to us.
