Escape the hustle of grounds and spend your Friday afternoons at Morven Sustainability Lab!
Each Friday through April, Morven opens for UVA students, faculty, and staff to enjoy access to our scenic gardens, winding trails, and tranquil indoor work and study spaces. Whether you're seeking a quiet corner to focus on coursework, a peaceful walk through the gardens, or simply a moment to recharge in nature, these open days offer a perfect retreat. Stroll along forested paths, admire the seasonal blooms, or bring a blanket and relax on the expansive lawns. The indoor spaces provide comfortable seating, Wi-Fi access, and plenty of natural light—ideal for reading, writing, or collaborating with peers. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with nature, reflect, and find inspiration in Morven’s serene landscape—all while staying productive or simply unwinding.
Transportation:
- Shuttle: Free first come, first served shuttle will depart from grounds at 1:30PM! Pick up near the University Chapel. The shuttle will depart Morven back to grounds at 6:00PM
- Cars: Guests are able to drive to Morven for this program if they get a "car ticket." Space for cars on the property is limited, to help manage this all drivers must get a general admission ticket & a car ticket. We encourage guests to carpool! If car tickets sell out - take the shuttle!
