Come listen to Lucille Klement, Friday, July 26!
Lucille Klement is an indie/alt-rock singer-songwriter from Albertville, Alabama. Klement's love for music "wasn't unintentional," according to her father, who used to play "Bedtime by the Beatles," a collection of popular Beatles songs turned into lullabies, while she slept. Her music draws heavy inspiration from Weezer and The Killers, both of which were featured on her father's iPod Nano filled with his favorite songs, along with Alabama Shakes. Right from the start of her musical education, Klement knew she wanted to pursue songwriting. At the age of 14, her first song, 'melancholy daydream,' set her on an endless songwriting journey. Klement was discovered by Downspout Records by chance at an open mic event at the Hideaway and reached out to record her new single, "Summertime." Forming a band and seeing her music become what she had always dreamed of has been a lifelong aspiration, and this dream is only the beginning of the many accomplishments that Lucille Klement will achieve.
FA5 wouldn't be possible without the support from our districts Main Street Program, the City of Johnson City, Brightspeed, Cherokee Distributing, Yee-Haw Brewing, Eastman Credit Union, Atlantic Ale House, other sponsors, and of course - our amazing community.
