About this Event
What is STAG?
STAG stands for - Students for Treborth Action Group. We are a student led project group that volunteers with Treborth Botanical Garden.
Why should you come to Treborth?
Treborth is a wonderful place to go to find community, learn about plants and gardening or even bring what you've learnt about (e.g., aquascape or wildflower surveying) to the table. Or if you want to learn how to do or make something (e.g., look after your secateurs or how to make your very own mini terrarium), that can be arranged too!
What is a 'Work Party'?
These are where STAG and FTBG (Friends of Treborth Botanical Garden) come together to garden, chat and at midday eat lunch (bring your own pack lunch - however, every now and then in the future we might have bigger events and have everyone bring in lovely food to share).
Gardening activities will change from week to week but some things you can expect to be getting involved with are potting, seeding, planting, weeding, and mulching. However, there are all kinds of other things that may be happening in the future that you will be able to get involved with including tree work.
Housekeeping:
Please remember to bring your own pack lunch if you're staying past midday.
Don't forget to bring suitable warm clothing and waterproofs and a good pair of wellies/boots. We will provide gardening gloves and everything else.
