Join us at Dassett Pottery Clay Club for a pottery experience at the studio.


Suitable for beginners and more experienced mud slingers.

For Beginners (Taster ticket - for potters who have not previously attended):

Discover the art of throwing a pot with Nick White. Guiding you through a hands-on session.


From the basics of centring and opening up to techniques for pulling up Nick will give a demonstration and you'll then make your own pots with unlimited clay to practice.


All the necessary materials and tools are provided and at the end of the session you will select your favorite pot for firing and glazing. Additional pots can be fired at a charge of £5 per pot payable on the day.


For more experienced mud slingers (Regular Ticket - for potters who have attended before):

This session is suitable for potters to practice previously learned skills and those who are happy to develop their own practice independently.


A firing allowance of 300g is included for regular potters. Additional firing is charged at .5p per gram for work made at the studio and 1p per gram for work made outside the studio.


Please note that this session is unsuitable for individuals with a pacemaker owing to health and safety.
