Singer-songwriter Jasper will be rocking Jives Coffee Lounge on Friday, May 24th, 2024 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.
"I first started my music journey as Jasper Rose a few years ago at Jives Coffee Lounge. Being inspired by others and their voices, I chose to find my own. I picked up a guitar when I was 13 years old, inspired by my grandpa to do so. In my younger years I didn’t feed my creativity and didn’t really play much. It was when I was older that I truly began to play and felt a passion within myself that needed to be acknowledged. After playing several open mic nights at Jives open mic I wanted to start writing my own music and finding my own sound. Feeling the most fulfilled in playing folksy blues, I appreciated my own lyrics and approach. I’ve been given the opportunity to play at serval music venues and coffee shops. I’m grateful for the opportunity I have to write and sing about what is important to me. I have a microphone tattooed on my arm, the reason being that I have always encouraged people to speak up on the things that need to be heard. My music is a portal to healing and authenticity for me and I intend on playing the rest of my life."
