About this Event
The University of Reading and Hindu Society welcome you to a special Diwali-themed Friday Get Together at the University of Reading, with traditional arts and crafts, Bollywood music and plenty of vegetarian food!
Come along to connect with students, staff, alumni and members of the local community. Everyone is welcome!
Activities include:
- Diya making and decorating
- Lantern making
- And more!
Food and Drink:
A buffet food service is available for purchase on the day, and students with meal plans can also use their plans on the evening. Please note, a general admission ticket does not include the purchase of food.

The Friday Get Together - Diwali Celebration is taking place at Eat at the Square, Whiteknights Campus, RG6 6UR.

We would encourage the use of public transport where possible. The nearest car park to Eat at the Square is Car Park 1a, this is a pay & display car park.

Public transport
Reading Buses routes 20 and 21 run regularly between the town centre and the University. From the bus stop on Whiteknights Campus, walk straight ahead until you see the Library (big shiny building). Continue heading straight, cross the road by The Cedars, and you will arrive outside Eat at the Square.
Environmental Sustainability
Cups will be provided, however you are encouraged to bring your own reusable cup to support the environmental sustainability of the event.
