Time for a change of scenery. In a previous life I paddled this section before and after work and on the weekends. It was my regular routine paddle due to working along the Claremont to Coogee coastal corridor. I'm looking forward to a nostalgic paddle and hope you can join myself and the crew for a social brekky run along the lower reaches!
Option 1: 10km return. Launching from Freshwater Bay Johnston Street (boat ramp). Paid Parking.
Option 2: 4km return. Launching from Bicton Baths Blackwall Reach Parade. Naomi Hornsby will be assisting paddlers choosing option 2. Plan for paid parking.
Both groups will meet for breakfast at either Zephre Cafe or Cool Beans Cafe - half way point.
Allow1/2 day to cover all logistics, travel time and unforeseen events. Please familiarise yourself with locations before the day to avoid the stress of getting lost!
Must be competent experienced paddler and paddle at your own risk. Hazards may include heavy boat traffic and weather conditions are subject to forecast.
BYO Board, leg rope, paddle, water, change of clothes, cash/card for breakfast.
