Mayshe-Mayshe
Mayshe-Mayshe is the solo project of Yorkshire songwriter and producer Alice Rowan. Her music blends dreamy art-pop and electronica with rich storytelling, skittering percussion and infectious melodies, with organic elements woven into all aspects of her music.
Combining vintage synths, drum machines, found sounds & choral vocals, her unique brand of experimental electropop is as unconventional as it is captivating. Part diary, part escapism, her confessional songs explore imaginary worlds, while navigating the messy, emotional terrain of the mind with a raw honesty and cathartic release.
Mayshe-Mayshe’s live performance is a dynamic live-looped performance of soft, spare rhythms and intimate vocal harmonies that build into deep oceans of sound.
Mayshe-Mayshe’s third studio album is due for release in October 2025.

Kindelan
Kindelan is an artist from Yorkshire who weaves her passion for dense jazz harmony with authentic, poignant lyricism to craft a sound that is distinctly her own. With rich, emotive vocals and intricate guitar-driven arrangements, her music delves into the intricacies of human connection and life’s in-between and unspoken moments.

A standout in the independent music scene, and supported by BBC Introducing, Radio 1, Radio 6, DMY, Dead Good Music, and Atwood Magazine, Kindelan’s artistry has led her to prestigious stages like Latitude Festival’s BBC Introducing stage, the BBC Radio 6 IVW tour, and recording at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Her captivating debut EP, you can reach me if you try, is a stunning seven-track body of work praised for its lush instrumentation, poignant lyricism, and timeless resonance, earning her comparisons to the likes of Lianne La Havas and Jeff Buckley.
Kindelan’s live performances are magnetic—intimate yet powerful, showcasing her innate on-stage presence and deep connection to her craft. A Youth Music Awards nominee for Live Performance in 2023, she captivates audiences with her fluid musicianship and sincere storytelling. Whether in the studio or on stage, Kindelan and her sound are carving a unique space and building a name in the industry.
Picking up a guitar at age 8 and beginning to write and perform original music shortly after, Kindelan eventually moved to Leeds to study songwriting at Leeds Conservatoire. There, she took the time to explore her craft and sound while immersing herself in the city’s thriving music scene. Over her time here, she has become part of an evolving supportive community of writers, artists and jazz musicians, including B-ahwe, Awen Ensemble, Ben Murphy, Rosie Miles, and valued collaborator and producer Ed Allen. Inspired by her roots in Yorkshire’s intimate live music scene and her time in Leeds, Kindelan aims to move through the industry, fostering a strong sense of community wherever she goes.

More about FRESH Thursdays...
FRESH happens every Thursday during our open seasons. It is a platform to bring you fresh new music served up alongside a homecooked plant based meal, board games and candles. It can be hard to get people out to hear music that they don’t know yet & this is why we decided to offer dinner as an incentive to try something new, these gigs are cosy, communal nights and often you get to hear completely new music for the very first time. The music varies across multiple genres but it is usually fairly gentle listening type music & well suited to a relaxed Thursday night. The gigs are seated and during the sets the audience is very music focused & quiet with time to chat in between the sets and at the end when we keep the bar open.
We cook the food from scratch usually and dinner is well suited to lover of vegetables and wholesome cooking, it's usually something like a dhal, veggie chilli, tacos, roast veg or similar, our base line is vegan sometimes with veggie options. We can cater for nut/gluten free meals, but nuts & gluten are used in the kitchen so if you have serious allergies please bear that in mind.
Doors at 7pm, we aim to get dinner ready by 8pm and will bring it to you when its ready… music usually starts around 8pm, sometimes later if it’s a busy night for food (we are a tiny team) and we aim to have the music finished by 10-10.15 pm. We can only guarantee dinner with advance tickets and these days we cap dinner at 60 meals and the food tickets do often sell out.
We hope/think it's obvious that quality music and dinner for £10 is all about culture & community and that these events cost us money… If you can afford to purchase a higher level ‘Cobalt supporters‘ ticket we appreciate the additional help towards costs very much.
