About this Event
Welcome, Harlem neighbors! As part of this year's theme, "Care for the Peace of the City," we are excited to host our very first in-person, outdoor gatherings at the Fresh Oils Community Garden (enter at the gate on West 119th Street). We will be learning about flowers and plants native to New York as we design and paint a "Little Free Library" for our community. The community library will be installed in front of the St. Luke Triangle building (tip of West 121st Street). Feel free to bring a book or two to share with your neighbors. This will be a two-part event.
Please note registration is required, and there is limited capacity (maximum 15) or this event. We ask all participants to wear face coverings during the event, , and complete a COVID questionnaire prior to attending. If you are not feeling well, please care for your neighbors, let us know, and stay home. Join us at the next event!
The Walls-Ortiz Gallery and Center is currently "on the move" in the neighborhood. We are hosting outdoor events at the Fresh Oils Community Garden located on West 119th Street between St. Nicholas Avenue and Frederick Douglass Boulevard. For questions, please email [email protected].
