About this Event
Event Description: Join us for a captivating birding adventure in the Frenchman’s Forest Natural Area, nestled in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This 158-acre natural wonderland is home to a rich variety of ecosystems, including pine flatwoods, strand swamp, scrubby flatwoods, hydric hammock tidal swamp, and wet flatwoods. During our visit last year, we encountered 30 different bird species, including the Nashville Warbler, Pileated Woodpecker, and Summer Tanager, while exploring the 2.2-mile trail through this diverse habitat.
Accessibility and Amenities: The trail is wheelchair accessible, as verified by the Parks and Recreation department. The path offers a mix of sandy and grassy sections as it meanders through the forest floor. Please note that restroom facilities are not available within the natural area. The nearest restroom is located 1 mile away at the 7-Eleven at 2490 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens.
