About this Event
It's never too late to celebrate Bastille Day with some banging French wines!
In this 2 hours long tasting and workshop we will go on a journey through emblematic regions of France, tasting a variety of wine styles, from rosé, to white and red. We'll talk about some classic wine appellations, delicious pairings for summer occasions like barbecue or ice cream, and some more adventurous for those looking to find new inspiration. From classics of the Loire to some more surprising wines like the whites of the South, there will be something for everyone!
Not only will we learn how to taste different wines and how they are made, but we'll also dig a little bit into what makes a wine refreshing, and the basics of food and wine pairing. This event will be a fun celebration, open to beginners and more advanced wine enthusiasts who have a keen interest in wine. It doesn'´t require any prior knowledge.
The ticket includes:
- 5 glasses of wine (rosé / white / red)
- Food catering (vegetarian, French cheese included of course!) / water
Attendance is limited to 16 people .
Tickets are fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to the event, and partially up until 24 hours before.
The workshop will be run in English.
A bout your instructor: My name is Anaïs and I am the sommelière at the Michelin star restaurant "Bricole", in Prenzlauerberg. I also teach wine with my company "Wine x Anais" and love sharing my passion for wine in a way that is fun and approachable - from bar and restaurant staff trainings, to courses for amateurs. My expertise is on French and German wines, specifically. No matter your level, my goal is for you to leave this workshop with more confidence and understanding of wine than you had before!
A bout the location: QG - Café Français, formerly known as Schmilblick Café, is located in the pleasant and family-friendly neighbourhood of Samarieter.
