Hey, you crazy skaters, it's time again for everyone to grab your favorite Superhero or Villain costume, strip it down to its bare minimum(see photos), slap on a pair of skates and join us at the Fremont Solstice Parade!! Our part of the Parade will start at 1:30 pm this year. We will be meeting in the parking lot across from Hales Ales at 11:30 am. If you are going to do your body paint in the parking lot come early so there is time enough for everyone
Here is how it will go down. We meet in the parking lot across from Hale's Brewery & pub at 11:30 am. Get costumed up and ready to roll. Then we get our group together, take a few group photos, and wait for the Naked bike riders to come by. We will jump in and join them for the start of a great day! Woo Hoo!!
(if you want to be in the group photos, please be completely ready by 1:15)
Things will be a little chaotic this year, they have changed, and shortened the parade route. Expect things to take longer than normal because of these changes.
We will follow the parade route to wherever it ends. (it seems like we will be ending right at the beginning of the festival.) This will be good news for those of you that are newish to skating, as this route is at least half as long as normal.
Most of us will be hanging out around the festival for the rest of the day, in costume and on skates. This is always a great day!! See ya there!! Be sure to check this event often to keep up with any changes we find out about.
Yes, we do skate with the naked bike riders, no you don't have to be naked to join us! Some of us are naked and some not so much. Whatever makes you happy, makes us happy!!
