The Art of Popping & Creative Expression
Join Chris (a.k.a. Fluidgirl) for a special October edition of this 90-minute immersive workshop, where movement meets imagination and your inner performer gets to come alive.
With Halloween around the corner, this is the perfect time to tap into your character energy and explore your body in bold, playful new ways!
You’ll dive into the foundations of Popping, while also exploring "hitting" (the foundational movement of popping), waving, and other theatre-inspired movement prompts to provoke fresh expression and expand your freestyle.
Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to reawaken your creative fire, this class is a supportive and FUN place to experiment, animate, and embody your movement magic.
👻 Costumes not required… but characters definitely are and ALL LEVELS welcome to play!

Chris Young-Ginzburg, known as Fluidgirl, has been dancing, performing, and exploring the art of Popping and freestyle movement since 2001. With a background in street dance, theatre, and energy work, she brings a uniquely expressive and fluid approach to movement, blending technical skill with imagination and play. Her journey into Popping began over two decades ago, drawn to the style’s ability to animate the body like a living illusion. Over the years, she has performed, trained, and developed her own fusion of freestyle, theatricality, and energy-based movement, making her dance style both powerful and deeply intuitive.
Now, she invites you to step into the Freestyle Playground with Fluidgirl: The Art of Popping & Creative Expression—a 90-minute immersive dance experience where movement meets imagination.
This class explores the foundations of Popping, unlocking your freestyle flow through playful exercises, visual storytelling, and expressive movement. Whether you’re new to the style or looking to expand your creative dance vocabulary, this workshop will inspire you to animate your body, deepen your confidence, and explore new ways of moving.
