🕺 Want to try something new together?Turn your next date night, mate night, or “why not?” night into something memorable.
We are offering an hour of practice in Jive on Wednesday nights at the momnet, and line dance/stroll classes on Thursday evenings as well as the usual weekday mornings.
When it comes to swing dance in Surrey, Ralph and June are the Fred and Ginger of Guildford! With decades of experience between them, these dance dynamos are the driving force behind Surrey Swing’s welcoming and lively community.
Ralph Dalton is a true dance chameleon—his journey took him from reluctant tap dancer in childhood, to passionate jiver after rediscovering his love for movement. With over 30 years on the dancefloor and 20 years of teaching, Ralph’s infectious energy and clear instruction make learning swing, jive, or even the cha-cha a genuine joy (and he credits June with all the hard work behind the scenes—humble much?).
June Dalton is the strategic mastermind and creative spirit keeping Surrey Swing in step. Dancing since the 1990s, June’s attention to detail shines through in every lesson plan and playlist. She’s supported countless dancers from tentative first steps to dazzling social events—and she’s not afraid to keep Ralph “on the straight and narrow” (her words, not ours).
Together, Ralph and June have not only taught thousands of students, but also coached public figures (yes, even politicians get their Lindy Hop on). They’ve also hosted legendary social dances, brought star instructors like Ryan Francois and Jenny Thomas to Guildford, and inspired a new generation of dancers to take the floor with confidence and style.
So, whether you’re looking for structured classes, workshops, or a friendly nudge onto the dancefloor, you’re in the safest (and swingiest) hands in Surrey.
