The Free Store & More Fashion Show will transform the Denman Community Hall into a cauldron of creativity where islanders (and friends) will show off our wild, weird, and wonderful wearable art, upcycled outfits, and freestore and thrift fashion treasures. There will also be recycling themed performances and other spectacles! We need YOUR help!Ways to be involved:
1. Fashion Show Costume Maker-
Create an outfit(s) made of refuse, recycled or reused materials. You or a model can wear (we can help find a model if needed). You have approximately 2 minutes to strut your outfit on the runway. Please provide a song you would like to use for the walk.
2. Performance-
Dance, music, any type of performance working with themes of garbage, recycling, thrifting etc. In approximately 3 minutes or less.
3. Decoration/ Art-
Make a sculpture, wall hanging or something to be displayed made from refuse, or reused materials!
3. Host a workshop-
If you have skills or passions to pass on in relation to sewing or art making with recycled materials, we would love to host workshops leading up to the event.

This event is a fundraiser for Hiladi and the Denman Food Bank!
Hiladi is a a Ma’amtagila sovereignty and land rematriation project on Vancouver Island.
