A petition of nearly 400 signatures was collected to restore Freeport back to a Mayor-Council form of local government and remove the City Manager position. This proposed change will enhance transparency, accountability, and unify us as one! We are requesting that the petition is placed on the ballot for our April 1st election! Together we can build a structure that will provide clear executive leadership, with a mayor directly elected by the people, giving us a strong unified vision for growth and progress.
