What does the workshop cover?
This is a great workshop to enable you to develop your freemotion skills in this creative workshop. You will be producing your very own personalised textile art wreath to take home with you. This is an in-depth workshop which is ideal for those who have learnt the basics of freemotion as well as those who are more experienced in the technique. Throughout the workshop you will b guided through all the steps to create each individual element of your wreath, with a range of original motifs and designs to choose from. You can personalise your wreath to suit your own liking with colours and fabrics along with traditional Christmas inspired designs. The workshop will be full of top tips and handy advice, to get the most out of the processes and you will learn how to develop your basic skills to create a lovely finished piece of artwork.
What is included
A natural wreath will be supplied for this workshop as well as hot glue to fit the motifs in place.
What you need to bring
 Sewing Machine, please bring your extra wide table for your machine if you have on (helpful but not essential), also don’t forget your foot pedal and cable.
 Freemotion embroidery foot
 Plain felt for backing the motifs in colours of your choice, for example, red, green or white.
 A variety of fabric scraps to produce the raw edge applique artwork, fat quarters are ideal for this project.
 Black thread and bondaweb
 Your usual sewing equipment, tweezers, scissors etc
 Pencil, an erasable pen is also helpful but not essential

Someone with some experience or have completed the Introduction to Freemotion workshop.

Other information you need to know
All workshops are run at LilyBoo, Lostwithiel on the upstairs floor. There is a steep flight of stairs up to the workshop area but once there you will have everything you need, from a small kitchen for tea and coffee along with a bathroom. The workshops at LilyBoo have bought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
