The Stark County Black History Museum at the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum in Canton invites guests to a Juneteenth celebration on June 18, 2025 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Join the Curator of Black History, Dr. Tameka Ellington, as she hosts the Stark County Underground Railroad Sites and Historical Societies on a journey to recount the heroic stories of our ancestors. The event will allow attendees to get an up close view of historical archives and objects from the various sites to bring to life the stories of the freedom seekers and those determined to seek justice for all people.
Guests attending the event will enjoy bar-b-que pulled pork, pulled chicken, vegetarian baked beans, potato salad, and garden salad by Ed and Bert’s SmokeHouse and red velvet cupcakes prepared by Sweet Lemon Creations.
Admission is $25 and a portion of the proceeds goes toward supporting the development of the Stark County Black History Museum.
