About this Event
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, this powerful program weaves together the voices and traditions that shaped the American story. Spirituals, folk songs, and fiddle tunes meet the elegance of Baroque and colonial music, revealing a shared language of resilience and hope. Featuring countertenor Patrick Dailey and Charlotte’s own soprano Sequina DuBose, acclaimed performer and faculty member at UNC Charlotte, 7th Street Concerts invites audiences into a vibrant tapestry of sound that honors struggle, uplifts the spirit, and celebrates the dream of justice and belonging.
Festivities begin at 5:30 with a complimentary pre-concert Happy Hour followed by the concert. The music will last about 75min with no intermission, and will conclude with more drinks and snacks on us, plus a chance to meet and mingle with the artists.
